Haz. Mol. Ebrahim Mia Saheb (RA) Passed Away in New Delhi - India On Saturday 02 Nov 2013 (27 Zul Hijjah 1434)

The Janaza of Hazrat Mol Ibrahim Mia (Rahmatullah alayhi) took place on Sat 2 Nov 2013 at 11pm India time in Mewat. Hazrat had many mureeds and makaatibs in Mewat.   Hazrat passed away after suffering from cancer for more than a year.

Please do make special dua for Hazrat & his family and pass on the reward of Surah Yaseen to Hazrat.

Indeed the loss of Hazrat Mol Ibrahim Mia (Rahmatullah alayhi) is a heavy burden upon the ummah. Hazrat has left a spiritual vacuum that will be almost impossible to fill. At this juncture when our emotions are running high let us ponder over these advices of our Akabireen (spiritual elders).

Hazrat's focus was on attaining the love of Allah and islahi-nafs. Now that Hazrat has passed on, we should never for a moment lose focus that Hazrat wanted the same for us; ie. attaining the love of Allah and islahi-nafs.

Hazrat has passed on but mureeds can continue to derive nur and spiritual benefit by reading Hazrat's kitabs, listening to Hazrat's talks and sitting in the majalis of his khulafa.

Shaitan will be quick to insert "was wasah" into our hearts at this point with thoughts that there will nobody else like Hazrat. Those falling prey to these thoughts are apt NOT to turn to Hazrath's khulafa for islahi guidance and this will be to their spiritual ruin.

Hazrat Sheikh Zakariyya (Rahmatullah alayhi) used to often advice mureeds (whose Sheikh had passed on) to attach themselves to their Sheikh's khulufa or other pious Sheikhs of the time. Many used to say that the Sheikh's successors were not in the same league of the Sheikh.

Hazrat Sheikh (Rahmatullah alayhi) used to say that it is a known fact that the spirituality that existed at the time of Nabi Sallalahu alayhi wasalam was not the same that existed at the time of Sahaba.

Nor was the spirituality that existed at the time of Sahaba the same that existed at the time of Tabi'een and so forth. In fact, tomorrow we will weep and say that the spirituality that existed in our Sheikh's khulufa cannot be seen in their khulufa. (for more details read Aap Beti)

Hazrat Sheikh (Rahmatullah alayhi) used to lament and say that many failed to heed his advice to their own detriment. Those people could have progressed to great spiritual heights but stagnated due to the above thoughts.

May Allah raise Hazrat Mol Ibrahim  Mia's (Rahmatullah alayhi) rank and may he grant us the taufiq to continue deriving benefit from Hazrat's teaching and his Khulufa.

Ameen.

After Demise: Advice for Mureeds

Maulana Wasiyyullah rahimahullāh used to say: “Everyone can become a Wali (friend) of Allah, but everyone cannot become a Shaykh.”

A Wali will be told to take a particular medication and asked to abstain from certain actions, but this is restricted to himself. However, a Shaykh has to relate to the problems of others.

He is required to diagnose different ailments and then to treat each one of them accordingly. Thereafter, he will have to correctly guide them to the truth. This task cannot be accomplished by one and all.

[Malfoozaat, by Mufti Mahmood Hasan Gangohi rahimahullāh]

Every Person Cannot Become A Shaykh

A Sufi reminds others of their original abode. Man forgets his original abode and becomes occupied in this material world whilst his Ruh (soul) is overpowered by love for his physical body. He is constantly concerned about restoring it. If he falls slightly ill, he will take medication. If he is tired, he will rest.

Whenever he is hungry, he eats. When he is thirsty, he quenches his thirst. If it is cold, he will wear a shawl. If it is hot, he will switch on the fan. He is relentlessly endeavouring to bring ease and comfort to his body. In order to beautify himself, he will apply lotion to his face, apply kajal to his eyes, apply perfume and adorn himself with beautiful clothing.

However, in this entire effort, he has forgotten his original purpose. This is a temporary abode. In reality, his actual abode is the place to which he is heading. This is only the pathway, and he has stopped in the middle of his journey. The Sufiya therefore remind people of their original abode.

When a person gains recognition of his soul, he gains recognition of Allah Ta’ala also. He will ponder over the favours of Allah and express his gratitude to Him. However, we fail to express our gratitude to Allah, yet we utilise the bounties of Allah Ta’ala day and night. The thought that we will have to give account for these bounties someday never crosses our minds.

In essence Tasawwuf imparts this lesson that we should conduct our lives as humans and not as animals. Furthermore, we should reflect over the Day of Qiyaamah when we will have to stand in front of Allah Ta’ala and render an account of our actions. This is what the Sufis remind others of.
